# Buying

## Buying a coin

Connect a wallet on Robinhood Chain, pick a coin and pay in ETH. One transaction swaps your ETH to \$DOLL and buys your desired coin. If you already hold \$DOLL, the trade panel's toggle lets you pay in \$DOLL.

    Any coin in the chain, or any candidate in a live round. Coins that lost past rounds can still be traded freely.

  <Step title="Enter an amount in ETH">
    The app finds the path for you. Your ETH becomes \$DOLL, and the \$DOLL runs down the chain to the coin you picked. To pay in \$DOLL, switch the toggle and enter the amount in \$DOLL.

  <Step title="Check the quote and set slippage">
    You see the fee and the amount you should receive before you confirm. Slippage is how far the price may move before your trade is refused. Set a minimum amount received, because a new pool charges a snipe tax in its first seconds; see the [FAQ](/faq).

    One transaction. Your payment passes through every pool on the way to your coin.
